passenger door won't unlock
i have power locks and they did not work when i first bought the car so a shop installed 2 new actuators 4 years ago. now the passanger side wont unlock. the power lock switch will unlock the driver's door, but i hear no noise at all coming from the pass side door, so is the problem the actuator? i also tried opening the pass door using the inside pass door handle, which usually opens the door when its locked, but that didnt work. i also tried using my key on the outside of the pass door, it would not open!

Re: passenger door won't unlock
sounds like the bar inside the door is broken or bent.

Re: passenger door won't unlock
Yank the door panel off, check all the rods. Make sure one isn't disconnected or broken like GMHatr said. If you're not hearing ANY noise at all and you can't unlock the door from any of the 3 choices, sounds like the lock mechanism itself is froze up. Get in there with some PB Blaster and loosen it up. Make sure everything is nice and free. Disconnect the mechanical part of the actuator, leave the electrical connected. Hit your button, that'll tell you if the actuator is working, but like I said I think it sounds like the lock mechanism.
