![]() The pointy end of a T-stat "Points" toward the radiator, or, into the upper hose.
Drill two 1/8 holes in it to help with bleeding air.

![]() Doesn't matter who makes it, the "pellet" always goes towards the engine.
Like 460 said, the brass point should point towards the radiator.
