cobra intake w/ no performance
I recently found a great deal on a 93 cobra upper and lower. I bought it installed it and lost alot of low end. I know I should have done a cam with it but the funds weren't there. Is there any way to make this intake perform better without major mods. I was thinking maybe a larger throttle body and fuel preasure regulator. Any suggestions would be great. thanks

A larger TB would make it worse, and the FPR wont help either. You need heads..otherwise the extra airflow is just wasted.

When my motor was pretty much stock I added a GT-40 intake and the car did feel a little soggier down low. But the track does not lie. I gained a consistent 1-1.5 mph trap speed, and knocked a tenth or two off.
It might not feel faster, but it is. You really need to do the heads as said earlier to get the best performance out of it. As far as bang for the buck goes, 400 bucks is too much to pay for 10 hp at the wheels. (until heads!) ------------------ 1988 Mustang GT 11.8 @ 123 (7/14/01) 1992 BadAzz Wrangler 1993 Explorer |

You'll see the difference w/ a good head/cam upgrade. But, just cause you lost a little down low, you gained that and more in the mid-high rpm's.
