Don't want to discourage you, but that strikes me really odd. Did your son happen to ask him about the Kevlar single disc setup?

Walt is a pretty cool guy, I had a long talk with him before he put together my T-5Z for my mostly stock Notch. Listen to all his suggestions, I blew off changing the motor mounts and stock quadrant like he told me to do and paid the price for it.

Kevlar clutch isn't going in right now, thrashing on the car to get ready to go in 3 weeks. I know, doesn't make sense, but long story short this clutch is already setup for the car/bellhousing. After FFW I'll be taking the tranny back out, setting up for, and throwing in the Kevlar unit and Walt's pressure plate.

I was doing some checking this morning on FFW and NRMA rules, looks like we need an automatic to run in the NRMA classes with our 331 - T-trim combo. FFW we can run manual with clutch in the classes I looked at.

Any comments from seasoned NRMA racers?

finally got our clutch and tranny on order from Walt at ProMotion. He recommend the Kevlar single disc and a TKO 600 to my son and we got it on order. Walt said he's got many customers pushing anywhere from 700 to over 1000 HP with this combo.

Walt's the man! Can't wait till we get this in. Walt also recommended putting 500 miles on the clutch and tranny before a full dyno-tune.
