Default steering in contact with headers, HELP

I just got my car back after having a 351 swapped in and I have contact between my steering mechanism and my headers. These are supposed to be the correct headers to allow the swap, any ideas?

Check the motor mounts. I'm not sure about the 351 swap, but with a 5.0 when the motor mounts are worn out they can cause the headers to rub the steering shaft. I would think you'd have new mounts with a 351 swap, but....

Same here, the BBK long tubes hit the steering shaft and the motor mounts were sacked. The new (stock) mounts raised the engine about a half inch and no more interference.
