Pin 30 on the A9P EEC IV (auto) Module
There have been some questions about pin 30 for both Auto and Manual applications (many by me.) I think I can shed some light on the subject, but welcome facts from the guru's on the board.
The following applies to the Auto Trans: My pin 30 is getting 12V+ during start from the IGN SW. The wire is connected BEFORE the park\neutral safety SW in the transmission. I believe that the computer stores a code for a failed start due to a faulty park\neutral safety SW in the trans (or the vehicle being in gear.) This would be the only way the computer would get a start signal should there be a faulty sw (or trans in gear.) If there was a failure, The Red w/Blue "start" wire wouldn't work I can't shed light on the Manual Trans, but I'll try to seek out more info....... |

If you have a manual trans, please post how you can and can't start your car...(neutral & clutch?......in gear & Clutch?......neutral & no clutch?
