Default porting question

ok i bought a porting polishing kit

i jut want to take off the lump on the ex. ports do i just grind off till smoth. the start to sand with rought then move to light??

and can i use a die grinder or drill?

I would not want to use a drill due to it being bigger and hard to angle with. A cheap die grinder will work well with a good metal bit. If you are only doing the exhaust bumps and grinding them down smooth to match the rest of the port, you should run into no problems.

Second the motion to go with a die grinder. Cheap and pretty reliable, and easy to manipulate.

Be careful to not remove too much material from the port. It will actually decrease flow if you create a dip where the bump was! Mr. Flowbench confirmed it.
