I have installed my Cobra R rims!
Hello All,
Well I have finally installed my Cobra R rims. I got a nice price so I went for the 4 lug Silver 17*9 with baked clear coat. I went 235/45/17 for the front and 275/40/17 for the back. The fronts were easy, no rubbing at all! The backs required flipping the quad shocks and installing a washer on one of the bolts. They really make the car look as it should. They fill my fenders and the 275 look mean! So, just wanted people to know that a 4 lug 17*9 will fit with 275 on the back. I will post some pics soon. Good for you!
I wish I could afford a set of those monsters! Please post some pics! I heard that if you remove the quad shocks you can get better traction, true? I guess they are there to prevent wheel hop right? It seems like if they were gone that it would give the rear-end a little of flex to bit more. Just a thought. ------------------ Michael Wigton 1989 351 Windsor 1964 1/2 Convertible |
