Dynoed my stang
Dynoed my stang today in a mustang dyno, car made 200 whp and 283 torque. Only mods i have are gutted cats and flowmasters but i was expecting a little more. is this normal to have that much Torque and such low HP? Also we made the runs on 3rd gear so i dunno if that was the right gear for it. Gonna upgrade my electrical stuff and add some new oil and filter and run it again next week to see if there any diff.

Re: Dynoed my stang
That is very normal. I have a customers 88 speed density car dyno that was 200RWHP/285RWTQ. My 88 SD car made 201RWHP/280RWTQ

Re: Dynoed my stang
200/283 are not bad at all for a relatively stock 5.0. On a chassis dyno, you want to use high gear either auto or standard, whatever is 1:1. that would be 3rd in the auto or 4th in a standard. Be sure your rear tires are aired up on the high side (I use 50 psi). That reduces rolling friction and helps the numbers slightly.
The Hp/torque figures will represent how your engine was set up. Good torque means better driveability generally with less top end power. The hp/torque curves are largely determined by what cam you're using (but the whole engine combo has to work with everything else). The 200 rwhp means around 250 hp at the flywheel, not bad for almost stock 5.0 Rev
