Oh I learned early on that Mustangs don't have proper cooling. I re-cored my radiator to a 4-core, and run a 180 degree T-stat. Runs great now.

I went to Dan's Performance last week. He felt that the 750 cfm may be too big or right on the edge. He is going to run some numbers on the entire setup. He also is very familiar with AFR heads and recommends them. He didn't have any problem maintaining driveability with the AFR heads. I still need to know about frame supports and shift kits.

Thanks.

Your stock heads (69 & 70 351W) are excellent and will be even better after porting (I own a 69 mach 1). Your parts list is pretty damn good, though both your cams are fairly mild. I would find one with a bit more lift (.550 range). You cannot run as much compression on cast iron heads as they don't dissipate heat like aluminum but right under 10.5:1 should be fine on good ol' 93 octane. If funds permit have the heads cut to accept larger valves. If you are running a high volume pump get a larger oil pan. I have see countless people run their cars out of oil and spin bearings.(all the oil gets sent to the top of the engine and runs the pan dry) Any other questions send me a line.
