Question C&L Users or MAF Experts

Just a couple of stupid MAF questions,

1) Where do you buy stock MAF electronics when they go bad, all that I can find is the entire meter.

From Ford: $169 + $90 Core
Auto Zone $79.99 + $60 Core (some brand I never heard of)
Auto Palace $100 + $?
(brand X)

Should I just go with the ford part? Is it that much better?

2) When installing the electronics in to the C&L do you need to use dielectric grease?

Thanks,

Well I really don't know what to say, but I would think the Ford parts are the best. However the Auto Zone parts are most likey Ford parts that have been refurbished.

I just took the old electronics off and installed them in the new meter, I did use a small dab of dielectric grease in the connector, never hurts.

Is there something wrong with your electronics that is causing you to have to buy a new one?

You might try www.mass-air.com
They have all kinds of electronics gadgets.

I looked at the Auto Zone meter no name brand I didn't feel to confident buying it, I am going to get the Ford part.

I have gotten several codes, and after doing some searching I believe that the MAF sensor is bad.

Thanks
