Default How many hp from a 351

I'm currently looking for a engine setup for a drag car, I want to run low
10 on motor and high 9 on spray. I was thinking about a 393 stroker, 408 or a 351
will be enough ? Witch one is better, the 408 will probably make more power
but will it be as strong as the 393 ? This will be a bracket racing car so
I want a reliable engine. The mustang currently weight's 2500 lbs with
driver and it's only for the track(no more street driving). I'm looking for
a carb motor with nos that can make enough power and still be reliable. Do
you know any setup (heads, cam, intake, etc) that could fit my need ?

the 408 is an awesome motor when built right. Buddy of mine Jared, has a 408 in his 93 lx. On motor it goes 6.79 in the 1/8th. On the jug it goes in the 5.60's in the 1/8th. And yes he drives this car on the street. i'm not completly sure of the cam he has..i do know it's in the .640 range solid roller but not sure of the rest. The carb is a 1050 dominator that's been flowed to a 1090. He has Trick Flow R heads that flow around 340cfm thanks to Fox Lake. The intake is a Super Victor for a 9.2 deck height. It's an awesome motor that plain out hauls ***. And is undefeated on the street as we speak. So the 408 is an awesome motor.
