air pump hook up on h-pipe?
I guess I hit one too many bumps because it came undone where it connects at the pipe. The exhaust sounded significantly better unhooked. Any adverse affects to running the car unhooked to the exhaust-also what else if anything should be done in conjunction with this if i decide to unhook it? thanks, joe

Well you have no need for your smog pump now that its unhooked. If you have emissions controls you might have a harder time passing.
Im not sure it would have any other negative effects on the rest of the car, I cant think of any. But some others might know. |

I`m supprised you still have the smog pump hooked up with your o/r H pipe. Mine was capped and fell off after 3 years, sounded like a major exhaust leak at w.o.t. I fixed it with a set of vice grips and a little jb weld.hehe If you dont have emmissions you could lose the smog pump- less accessory drag = free power + a few less pounds off the nose. Cant go wrong there
