Identifying heads
is there anyway I can tell if the heads are E7 with out taking the motor apart. found an 1985, 500 mile rebuilt, but the motor is in the car. the guy tells me they are worked E7

The casting numbers are in the pushrod area on the deck side of the head. You'll have to pull them to know for sure.

I thought the numbers were also stamped on the roller rocker side too? I wish I had looked today, since I have a set on the stand right now.
