Post MAP sensor question

I was wondering if anybody could tell me if any of the Turbo Coupes, SVOs, Merkurs used a MAP sensor? I know they had VANE air meters. I was wondering because Im in the process of making a turbo setup for my 2.9 ranger, the altitude just kills it. THANKS

i think anything that is speed density would require a MAP sensor. Even the MAF cars have one, but it is only used as a secondary backup sensor in MAF cars.
