just resurfaced rear drums and but in new shoes, cylinders, and bled system, looked for leaks, and adjusted parking brake. is there a timeframe or method to break in rear drums?

Shouldn't need any break-in as such.

They shouldn't make any noise. You sure you have the primary and secondary shoes in the proper place? Or a piece of hardware or spring maybe not seated properly.

White lube the backing plate where the shoes rub.

After turning a drum/rotor, take soap and water to it.
