Default e-cam?

i bought a "new in the box" e-cam from a guy i know. It is truly new, but it has some rack rust on it. It is not pitted at all, but the lobes that have been down all have a light rusting to them. Can i use this cam? how do i take care of the rust if i can use it?

thanks

Soak the cam overnight in WD-40 and then sand the rust with 2000 grit sand paper. The rust will pipe right off.

Been there done that.
