Engine shuts down after about 20 miles.
Car has been running great. Then all of a sudden take a little road trip and after about 20 miles, I slowed down at a red light and engine died would not start. Looked over everything. Then about 5 minutes later I tried it and it started and drove home running just fine.
I thought it may have been that crazy TFI module, so what the heck, I just bought me a new MSD distributor. Took it for a little road trip, stayed near home and every thing was OK. Again I went about 20 miles down the road slowed down at a red light and it went dead. Push off road and would not start. Got out to check it out and was going to try to see if it had any spark but by the time I got plug wire off and put srew driver in end of wire and turned the key it fire up on 7 plug and a srew driver. Any idea? I'm really don't know what it could be. When I try to crank it there is fuel pressure so I'm thinking MSD box? What should i try? Thanks in advance. JACK

Does it surge when it's about to shut off...? And when you try to restart it does it turn over?

No surge, just shut off and evey thing else seems to work fine.
Will turn over but will not start.

Sounds like a typical fuel pump scenerio. Do you have a guage on it and are you sure you have the proper pressure?
