Post vacumleak?

When I start my engine...The rpm is around 2000-2500rpm. First when its hot the rpm goes down under 1000hp. I hate this...must be some kind of vacumleak??? Where should I start looking?

Could you explain yourself a little better....do you mean that it runs at 2500 until it warms up, then it goes under 1000 once off of cold start?

------------------
1992 5.0 LX, Edelbrock 6037 Heads, Cobra Intake,E-303, 1.6 Roller Rockers,65MM Holley TB, 75 MM Pro M Mass Air, 190 LPH FP w/ 24 lb injectors,BBK equal length shorties,offroad h-pipe,Mac Flowpath Mufflers, Pro 5.0, 3.73's,Motorsport "C" springs,welded subframe connectors, Ponies w/ 225/50 Nittos, 93 Cobra Spoiler

Daily driver: 89 Coupe with 205K plus, BBK shorties, offroad h-pipe,2-chamber flowmasters with dumps, cut and welded stock shifter...and it runs like a champ.

Question

When I start my engine it goes up to 2000-3000rpm..and stay there. When I come to a stoplight and have no gear in the rpm is still 2-3īrpm. But when the engine is really warm it goes down to under 1000rpm. This must be some kind of vacuumleak or???

No vac leak man, most all 5.0 EFI's do this.. It is like a choke for a EFI, it raises the RPM's when the motor is cold and then it idles down...
