Default When I say I want LOUD EXHAUST..I MEAN...LOUD!!!

the guy i bought my stang off of had dual blue-bottles put on it....and the one on the right is completely rusted off..I was thinkin of cutting off the cats completely(more horsepower and louder sound! , and doing it all the way to the back of the vehicle with new piping. I want a DEEP DEEP sound...but not EXTREMELY droned out and earpiercing to me when i got my windows rolled up, cruisin down the highway...I want a deep idle and when i punch the gas I want er' to SCREAM!!!! I have heard dual flowmaster 40 series on my buddies 83 5.0L capri...but I don't really like the sound of the flows. I guess they are too.."fwing..fwing"..haha.."metallic-sounding" for me.....I'm lookin for more of a straight deep throaty sound....haha..

Does anyone have any exhaust ideas?? how about magnaflow, borla??

Should I just throw another pair of brand new blue-bottles back on there?

Thanks again!

You will have to excuse me but,....what is a blue bottle??? The only blue bottle that comes to my mind is a NOS bottle.
As goes for your exhaust, look into an X-pipe and Spin-tech mufflers. By the description you gave the SPIN-TECH mufflers is what I would look at. You want LOUD tell them you want the out-law series. Make sure you run tail-pipes so you don't get that drown sound coming into your car when crusing down the high-way.

I'm running a BBK off road h-pipe with an American Thunder exhaust and 3" tips. It is very very throaty. My wife says she can hear me coming for about 3 blocks. Alot of the increased sound came after I changed the heads on my 93' Stang. More flow, more power and definatley more sound.

Just my $.02

A blue bottle is simply a 1-2 foot long piece of steel 3" piping..that converts to a 1.5" inlet..and a 2" outlet...the outlet/inlet is bent at a 15 degree angle or so from the muffler chamber..

(it looks like a "red hot" or "purple hornie"..except..imagine the tube to be 3 inches in diameter)

but thanks!!!

Offroad H pipe, and Dynomax Race Bullets. Very deep tone, and extremely loud when you're on it. That'd be my vote.

I used to think just like you did but loud exhaust only attracts the attention of the police.
I have 2.5 inch flowmasters with ForceII mufflers and H-pipe and I don't like them anymore. If I didn't have better things to spend money on, I would have them changed.

i have a 2.5" o/r xpipe and 2.5 inch magnaflow SS catback on stock headers. quiet rumble at idle but loud when u get on it with a very unique sound, not the everyday mustang flowmaster sound, its too common. it doesnt wake up the neighbors pulling into the driveway at 3am, but sounds great mid-upper rpm's.

If you want load then what about a set of Warlocks? I've heard they are plenty loud.

If you want loud just run open headers. Hell, run it without the header at all. It might run for a while until the valves bend.

Dude, Loud sucks. Makes your head hurt, attracts cops. If you want loud, run open headers...

SO TRUE!

But that is the way people generally are when they start their first mods. Then when their car gets BUILT, they will try to make their car as quiet as possiable.

This might not be what you're looking for, but when I first bought my 90 lx, the right side pipe had been loose on the hanger and would hit against the diff whenever I would give it a little gas. So I cut both pipes after the muffler and put on 2 1/2 inch turn-downs. It was pretty loud and I think it sounded great, although the neighbors didn't.
The cool thing about this is that it is cheap and easy to do and pretty easy to change if you don't like it.

Dude, if the "blue bottle" has a 1.5" inlet, and a 2" outlet, you are getting screwed. Stock exhaust size is 2.25". So you are definately bottlenecking at you mufflers. The warlocks do have a tendancy for the paint to flake off with the heat, and then rust, but this can be solved with a can of high temp engine paint that can be bought at most auto parts stores.

I would suggest hooker aerochambers. I was trying to find you a clip with the aerochambers, but Mustang Exhaust is down right now. They definately have the sound you would be looking for. Unless you are really beefing it up, dont go with 3". Stay with 2.5, you will be much more pleased. You could also use single chamber flows. Totally different sound, and definately loud as hell.

check this out.

I have BBK longtubes, o/r x pipe with 2 chamber flows and turn downs. I used to have an o/r h pipe. I like the sound of the x pipe better, but the H pipe is louder. That combo is loud enough that I have to turn the radio up real loud to hear it.
