Default another leakdown test question

Hey guys,

If I do a leakdown test and get basically 75% leakdown on 1 cylinder when the rest on that bank are 5-10%, should I be burning oil up the wazzu in the exhaust if the rings are that bad -- i.e. wouldn't I be seeing lot's (!!) of blue smoke?? Could the catalytics cause the exhaust to look normal?

I'm trying to figure out a leakdown test problem I had 2 weeks ago, my compression showed 80-90psi on the cylinder in question, but the leakdown was like 20psi (using 100psi input). I know I did the leakdown right because I did it on cyl 5,6, & 8 and it showed 4%-10% leakdown. Also, HG looks good.

thanks!
