what is a good price for a junkyard c-4 and what (ford) car are they in? I would like to re-place my T-5 with one. What it would take to swap in c-4.

I had gotten my c-4 from a 250cu Maverick, small bellhouing for header clearance, get the 157 tooth flexplate and starter index plate, rebalance the flexplate to 50oz .The years are 70 to 78 ? Then rebuild it to v-8 specs that was 5years ago,no problems. If you need a complete unit call Dymanic Trans. My 60ft went from 1.81 with stock motor to 1.73 but trap speed was a little slower!

Junkyard price depending on condition/warranty: ~$100-$150
What they came in: An array of vehicles. Early to late '70's Mustangs, trucks, LTD Crown Vics, etc. Pretty easy to find. What it takes to swap in C4: As far as I know, need new flywheel. Call Ford Motorsport, they'll know. Should be ~$60. Get a starter for C4 and dust shield (flex plate) for C4. ------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup 4" Cowl Weld wheels (15x6;15x8) Stock 5.8L C4 w/ shift kit 1.5" MAC full length headers Holley 750 CFM Edelbrock intake 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters 8.8" Rear end w/ 3.55 gears (Now that's more like it!!) Front: 225/60/15 Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup soon) "Red, thou art my companion.
