Default Bbk Ssi Intake

Hey, has anyone tried the BBK intake yet? It seems like a good idea with the dual plenums and all. I'm curious on how a nitrous system would work with it like a throttle body fogger setup. To me it would seem that the nitrous would definitely have a problem being uniform to all of the runners.

A box stock cobra intake does as well for a fraction of the price.

I like the fact that it comes with fuel rails but thats it.

89 GT --- Coast forged 347 with Isky bumpstick, Crane 1.6's, Vic JR's and... BBK SSI/75mm TB. Factory block has us staying around 6200 --- hell, this a TORQUEY BI-ZITCH without splitting the OE block at higher rpm's anyway. BBK works fine with this set up.
Street daily driver which runs pretty well. Next install is our MAC Longtubes, X-pipe and SLP's. Will see how she does then too. Not sure about NOS, yet.

We like it --- most who don't, simply can't afford one.

I posted a piece on TR

REALLY??? How much do they run, I paid $700 for an extrude honed Vortech intake and have cut absolutely no corners on my 331. Can't afford one? You dont the the general population maybe, just might not like them or have better flowing and track proven numbers with other intakes.....? Can't afford one? You shouldn't even be in this hobby if you can't afford something, racing eats every last penny of most of these guys because they save and spend there last dollar to get the good stuff. Can't afford one? That simple huh?

Not to mention bbk products are a bit cheesy, however I like the intake, and one of the magazines proved it to be a good intake for an n/a 302 on the dyno(one of the best), a ported explorer/cobra suffices in most cases.

buy it because you like the way it looks, not becasue it's a "better" intake..........it's no better or worse than any other comparable intake.............
