Default 90 LX project

Got a 90 LX 4 cyl that I am turning into a 347 dragger. 2 questions -- 1) I plan on putting a 8.8 rear onto it. should I use 3.73 gears or move to 3.90s or possibly even 4.10s? 2) What type of tranny should I use? I was thinking about going with an auto since it is an auto right now and there would be less hassle trying to swap it and that you also dont need to go thru a full set of gears was with a 4 or 5 speed when racing on a strip. On the other hand, the manual would be more fun, but what type should I go with if I went with the manual? The T-5 I think would be too weak. A 4 speed may be more efficeient. Anyone got any suggestions?

What kind of times are you hoping for? The best transmission and other things depends on how fast you want to go.

Trying for 10s or better. I am planning on putting a 347 stroker w/ all the fixins'. I was thinking about going with a T-5 and a strong rebuild, but have not a clue what I want at this point. Still doing research. Also trying to decide on carb or EFI.
