Default sway bar removal

If I temporarily remove my front sway bar, will this cause my tires to wear more on the inside due to messed up alignment? I'm asking because a mount broke and the local discount auto parts place doesn't have what I need. The clamps aren't long enough and one of the spacers broke. I tried using the generic short clamps, but that lowered the car and put the bar right in front of the oil drain plug.

Naaahh... not if it's temporary. The life of tires on a fox body is around 20 - 30k driven hard on my past cars. Just don't take the corners too hard, and watch out past 60mph... you'll see what I mean!

Damn. Just called around and can't find the spacer piece that goes between the U-clamp and the frame. Vatozone and Discount don't have them. Called ford dealership parts department. They said its discontinued. Any other sources?

Look at Steeda, Energy Suspension and other bushing manufacturers. There are aftermarket sources for the swaybar mount.

I don't think it is a major issue. Unless you're road racing it or take it through the twisties you shouldn't have any major issues. I snapped the rear sway bar at the weld going sideways out onto the street from a parking lot 2 years ago. Haven't even noticed a difference, and I drive it like I stole it.....
