Starter Button Install

I want to replace my ashtray on my 88 with a starter button. I'll hide the hole with a metal plate and i'll add the switch for the electrical fan but they will be some space left so i want to install a starter button. Does anyone have already done this.

I've tried a SEARCH but there's too many results and nothing specially for my needs.

I've saw on ebay some switch as the S2000. Where i can get a switch as this one but not look like a honda

There's look like to have a fuse and some wires in the package. Is this difficult to install and what i have to take care of?

You would have to unhook the start function from the ignition swithch and rewire it to basicaly any momentary push button switch or you could leave the ignition switch start if you want and then be able to use either one to start.
you shoulden't need a special button b/c it dosen't need to be that big b/c all it does is click a relay that actually applies power to the starter.

That is correct. Any momentary switch will work. That's why I didn't understand what you needed to know. I'm still not sure i understand what you're asking, but if all you want are answers on what to do, the post nbefore this one answered them perfectly.

And all i have to find is a ground wire and the positive of the starter on the steering column. Any special gauge for my wiring 12, 10 or 8 ? Which fuse i have to use. Just in case.

Many questions because it's look like too easy to be secure

Look man, get a momentary single pole single throw (SPST) normally open switch from like Radio shack or Autozone or some place like that. Run a wire from somewhere either in the fuse panel or on the battery that is always hot, or run one that is only on when the ignition is on, to one node on the switch, then run the other one to the starter solenoid where the wire from the steering column goes to it. It's that simple. Why would you want a starter switch anyway unless you were completely getting rid of your ignition cylinder?

I went from an antique car show yesterday and i've saw this. Just wanna try it but i'ld be probably bored of it after some time.
