Your SD now im guessing? i was under the impression stock for stock the sd car will have a little bit more power, apparently the SD cars had a slightly better cam(barely), the SD computer runs the car a little harder also i believe. my 88 would outrun my friends 89, and bolth the cars were about the same mods(exhaust, and all the free stuff), bolth stick, his was an lx notch i had a gt, and id beat him every time. someone that knows forsure will probably chime in any time.

Yes stock for stock a SD car is a couple tenths quicker than a mass air car on the average.

I had SD for a long time I finaly made the switch to mass air last year and IMO Mass air is the way to go even though SD cars can be modded and fast.

With my mods my car is 3 tenths faster with the mass air set-up. Not to mention my car pretty much maxes out 19# injectors and SD wont work with 24's so the SD had to go.

My fuel consumption is less with mass air. My car isnt near stock and I was running 46 psi of WOT fuel pressure with the speed density and 19 # injectors. The car ran pretty rich at an idle and consumed alot of fuel.

I currently run 24 # injectors @38 psi WOT with mass air and I actually get over 20mpg.

SD vs MA fuel consumption stock vs stock is probably about the same.
