Default 289 vs 302 Heads question

what are the differences between the 289 and 302 heads?
I am looking at an engine and it has 89 5.0 block with 289 heads.
I dont really care about the heads, I just need the bottom end, but was wondering if they are any good?

Default Re: 289 vs 302 Heads question

The 289 heads are great they have a cumbustion chamber of 54.5cc will bring up the compression quite a bit. Plus they dont have emmissions I believe.
