Default hipo heads with 90 block? will it work?

i can tell some of the upper water jackets dont match, but i heard you can order a special head gasket and just close the upper jackets off or something like that.

why would you want to... other that to boost compression? same size valves as the late heads, and they dont flow as good..

I wouldnt think there was any major differences.. just use the late gasket.. otherwise there would be problems putting alum. heads on the older blocks..

the water passage to the intake IS different, but it should still be sealed by the later intake gasket...
I got rid of my E7's or I could compare them to the 66 289 heads I have..
