Cool Its time for new tires for 86gt

I have a set of Firestone Firehawk SZ50 (225-60- ZR15) on the car now, absoultely love them. Treadwear 220, Traction AA, Temp A. Best tire I ever ran in rain or dry. However they are getting a little long in the tooth, age wise, no hairline cracks yet but 2 of them are aproaching 9 years. And the tire people told me that 10 years is the upper limit for any tire. I have stock suspension and the Factory 10 hole wheels. Do not want to go bigger wheel. I would like another set however it appears that they don't make anymore. Looking for new tire recommendations please.

i loved the nitto 555 drag radials.they were great for handling and i was very surprised how good inthe rain.the tred ware was like 120 and they only come with 6/32 but they did last a while.i would put 255 in the back and 235 in the ft.there are tons of good tires that you can get just need to know what ur looking to spend and what u want out of them

Whatever your choice, make sure to do a big burnout with the old ones! (We want pics!)

Update. I'm still running the Firestone tires. Still no hairline cracks. Also went to Watkins Glenn last year and ran the track with our Mustang Club.

MY final choice was a set of Cooper CS5 touring 225/60R15. 96H (130 mpr, tire good enough for me). 60,000 mile tire 620 AA. Diameter 25.6" width 8.9" 812 rpm. Bought just before going to Ford Carlisle, PA this year. Very quiet for being a 60,000 mile tire. Would I buy again, yes.
