Question can shorty fit GT40P?

Guys, I'm buying a 302 longblcoks from central coast mustang , yes it's the one with "P" heads. Now, I've heard that there is a trick to fit a pair of shorty headers to these head. Can anyone tell me what is that trick?

Thanks

They make a special header to go with those there an actually shorty header just made for the "p" heads.

Without cutting or rewelding I dont know of such a trick. I have heard that longdrops fit the P heads and I think the BBK shorties do to as well. I am not 100% sure. Do a search.

You might be able to buy a set of flanges for a header kit and put a gasket on either side and bolt them in between the header and the head to get you a little more space for the spark plugs. that's why most headers don't fit P heads. You might have to have a muffler shop modify your H pipe or X pipe or whatever you've got to fit them, cause they'd be wider apart (the headers)
