Check for battery drain. If the battery checks out, its your starter. Was it a new one or reman?

very common problem, seen many times, your starter is getting too hot next to the headers, especially if you have aftermarket headers, get a mini hi-torgue starter, your problems are gone.

Too much timing will just kick back on the starter. It will do it hot or cold. If your starter is new and your battery is new, and they really are good parts, then it's your cable or terminal ends. But in most cases like this, it is the starter at fault.

That's sounds kind of strange, because I had the same problem last summer. Mine was fixed when I just replaced my starter.

I see you installed new cables, did you sand the connection points down to bare matal? Also make sure you have a ground cable from the engine to the frame as well.
