I remove the fenders and front end all in one piece. Just take everything loose and have a buddy get on one side and you get on the other and the entire front end will slide off.

I have mine off right now to repair my cowl panel.

ok but what holds the front clip on??

by the looks of things you can just take the fenders off but i might just take the hole front clip off if its faster??

the reason i want the fenders off is so that i can sand blast my frame up front cuz i seen some rust there just started so i want to get it befor it gets worse

thanks

It is way faster to remove the entire front clip. There is a total of 16 to 18 bolts to remove. Then you have to unplug the headlights etc... and it will slide right off.

Not to mention when you do it this way you have alot less to line up when you reinstall it.

Talking Re: fender removal?

Dark 5.0 is right, WAY easier to take off the whole front clip. Fenders bolt to the frame in the door jambs (mark where these are before you unbolt them for reassembly line up), there's a brace in front of the wheels, unplug the wiring harnesses for the headlight/parking lights. It's been a while since I've done it, but I BELIEVE the front facia is bolted on to the header panel, and possibly a couple rivets. There are also a few small bolts on the bottom side of the nose. Take all that stuff loose, and then see what's still holding you up. Not a bad job at all, and reassembly is a breeze, almost nothing to line up!

The actual bumper stays on the car. Plastic rivets will come out, but you'll probably need to replace them. Check for a bunch of small bolts with big flat washers under the front too.

Here is a photo of the front clip removed.
(never mind my dog "keeping me company" sleeping while I work).
