Post odd sound after full exhaust install

i just install full mac exhaust..long tubes off road h and cat back..now with the stereo off the faster i go you can hear air...like air is being pushed into the inside of the car or something..dosent really sound like a leak...any ideas guys?? also when the engine is idleing you can hear a faint "ticking" sound?

Is the port for the air tube from the air pump on the off road H-pipe hooked up or plugged? Make sure it is or this is where your noise is coming from

does the sound vary with engine load (get louder when you give it more gas)?

It's an exhaust leak. Bog the engine a little, if the ticking gets worse it's an exhaust leak. Since Ford doesn't use exhaust gaskets everything must be aligned perfect.

If you did away with the smog pump and the tubing behind the heads check the holes on the back of the heads for leaks. Mine leaked after the install and it was pretty noticable.

If you left the smog stuff, check to be sure the header bolts are tight and check the smog hose running to the crossover.

i took the piping off the old h pipe and hooked it back up...and when i give it more gas the louder it gets
