I think they changed the inner fenders in 91(?) when they switched to the 16" rim to aleviate the tire clearance problem. If so a couple of junk yard innerfender wells off a newer stang should work. Where are they rubbing?

My front tires ar 225/55R16's Good year eagles. The front of the tire rubs the frame it looks like and the back of tire rubs lower control arm i think, at least the metal is wore there.
No Ground effect on it 88fiveoh |

Are those aftermarket Pony's like the genarics without the horse center or ford racing pony's I belive I was running 235's. they mighty be a bit tall, and the only other option is a backspaceing issue. What's the backspace on those rims?

I believe you can buy and add steering rack limiters. I think the H.O. steering racks came with them. You may want to check into that. Is your car a 5.0?
Have you been to http://foureyedpride.com/ ? It is geared towards ALL 79-86 'Stangs and there are very helpfull and knowledgible people there. It is another excellent resource, just like Mustang Works.
