17" Rims
I would like to put 17" rims on my 89 GT is this possible someone told me they would rub the fenderwalls

1990 and up models are supost to have slighty larger inner fenders that will clear larger wheels but I've seen 17" rims on just about ever year fox you can think of from 79 on up.

I had 245/45/ZR17's (17x9 wheel) on the front of an 89 GT that I owned. I needed to trim some of the inner fender near the front bumper and I also installed spacers in the steering rack so the wheels would not hit the a-arm at full lock.
