Decide if you want GT-40 or GT-40P heads.
Decide if you want the explorer or GT-40/Cobra intake. Up-grade to a 65mm TB Headers Anything but the stock fuel pump. At least an alphabet cam (i.e B,E, or F cam) While you have the timing cover off go ahead and change the double roller timing chain. Thats if you want to do it right. If it were me and I wanted the most HP for the cheapest price Milled GT-40P heads with Long Tube headers. Explorer intake with a ported lower and 65mm TB B-303 cam 190lph fuel pump If you look around all of that can be had for $1,000.00 bux Not bad for a low 13 second car with gears and slicks. JMO,

I dont see why anyone would want to go with the Gt40P or Gt40Y heads. Its a waste of money in my eyes. You mise well get the GT40X or another type of head

T5 - F THAT - that carbed engine makes power above 4,000 rpm - not my idea of a good, powerful, street friendly driver. Most of our cars weigh WAY more than yours. Carbs and short runner carb intakes are good for peak numbers - compare average area under the torque curve for the real picture in comparing two engine combos.

How is your car set-up. Do you have a tubular K member and A-arms and gutted interior or what?

The guy that sold me the engine at the Ford dealerhip copied the paper and gave me it. It clearly shows its the exact same motor that I have, what are you talking about, look in the bottom right hand corner! I have been in 11 second cars and beleave me my car can hit that with no power adders. I might not be able to beat you I dont really care theres always someone faster I was just saying that because you are trying to tell me that my motor is not the same one. Bullshit it isnt LOL

Thats cool man.
I will have some dyno numbers to compare here in about 10 days. I will be really dissapointed if I dont get over 300RWHP.

You go T5. Rock on with your bad little self. Do you always talk out of your a**hole? Based on your other replies I'd say "yeah you sure do". When your ready to make some real power, you may want to ditch that b-cam. And that doesn't mean switch to the x303 either. I'm sure that would've been your next move. If you want to give your advice or opinion, don't be so condescending. You may be an ok guy. But you come across as an ignorant little punk. Have a nice day!

lol this is just a fun car I have always wanted to make a manual and have a fun little thing to drive around. I already had my fast car in the 60's boys. And I got this motor for a really good deal from a buddy of mine at the dealship. It was only like 2800 bucks. Just a quick little replacement from the old tired 302 in the car before.
