Default Which gasket for port matching

What gaskets do I need to Gasket match the intake to the heads and the headers to the heads. Yes Iam going to weld on the top's of the headers so I can open the holes up a bit but need to know what gasket to use.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm gonna respond anyway.

Depending on the heads the numbers for gaskets are:

1415 Felpro- Exhaust

1250 Felpro-Intake

Hmm.. you're a moderator and didn't catch it? That's okay, were only human, I think.

1262 is the race gasket Felpro Intake. Its slightly wider/taller than the 1250.

1415 is the only one I know of for the exhaust, but I'm pretty sure that someone knows of something out there that's racier.

I think the 1415 and the 1262 will do me just fine..I figure on a 306 with a good port job ( in and out ). I figure with a good cam and plenty of fuel it will do ok.

I wouldn't use the 1262 unless your going with big heads and intake. Here are some dimensions of gaskets and the stock head and lower intake opening at the head. Fel Pro makes two kinds of gaskets for the 5.0 - one is the Printo Seal 1250 gasket and the other is the Blue Stripe that comes in their MS93334 gasket kit. Here are their dimensions:

1250 Printo-Seal = 1.2" x 2.0" = 2.4 sqin

1262 Printo-Seal = 1.28" x 2.10" = 2.688 sqin

MS93334 Blue Stripe = 1.15" x 1.95" = 2.25 sqin

Stock Lower intake opening = .875" x 1.675" = 1.46 sqin.

Stock E7 head opening = 1.05" x 1.90"

In most cases the 1250 gasket size works best.
