Just added N20..10's here I come!
Well my fiance bought my a N2O kit for my B-day, I almost have it installed now, it is a wet kit single fogger nozzle and I am going to start with a 125Hp setting, then go to the 150.the 175 is staying in the bag.
I went 11.80 @ 115mph NA, thinks 10's are possible with a 125dhot, it will be activated via WOT, wired through my clutch switch so it shuts off when I shift, I will run 1 range colder plugs, 10 degrees timing to start and 40psi of fuel with my 255lph Hi-Pressure pump and my 30# inj. Will I need to pull timing out, I was told 1 degree for every 50hp shot..I can do all the tuning through my Speedbrain. I have 5 degrees added but it will pull out at 70% throttle so when I luanch it will act like 15 but when the spray comes on it will act like it was on the stock timing table. Any imput, or suggestions? I am running for the first time on the 21st.

I had my timing @ 12-13 degrees with the 150 shot. I also only sprayed it when the engine was fairly cool. Never above 170 water temp.
I hope you have better luck than I did. While running 112 mph on motor my best pass was 11.1 @ 122. I did trap 125 at a different track though. I think you should see somewhere around 10.7-10.9's around 125. good luck, and post the results as soon as you get them! |

i was told 2 degree's for every 50 hp, by a builder that runs close to 800 hp of nos at Fun Ford. Oh I would wait to try the nos with the 373's, 430's might be to steep with the bottle. I just went to a PA C-4 and still have the 456's and 27" tires, i dont think ill make it more than 60% down the track with the 175 plate system before i run out of motor..lol

I wouldn't run any less than 10 deg. on your setup... if you want, try two steps colder. I run AR3932 plugs with the 150 and 200 shot, and like 'em alot so far. Don't think I'll have to go much colder.
As for drivetrain, I run 4.30's, 28" slicks, and a Jerico and cross the 1/4 at 7000 on the 150 shot, best time in sig. I've tried the 200 twice and I'm still working on a few things to get it to hold on the big end On the 200 shot, I ran a 6.71 @ 98 in the 1/8 tonight, but the nozzle blew out of the rubber elbow on the AFM power pipe I run. The first time I tried it, I pulled too much timing and it popped through the intake and mushroomed the K&N filter and blew the nozzle out. Launched real hard (best 60ft.)... knee high so I'm told, it's definitely the biggest wheelie I've ever done As far as water temps go I run 170-180 before I stage and trap at around 190-200... kick on the fan and it drops right down to 180. Get to the pits and run the elec water pump w/ the fan and bring it down to 140 and head back to the staging lanes to arrive at around 160. The clutch setup, how'd you do that exactly... I run an MSD on/off switch with 3400-6900 pills currently. I'm going to make a pedal stop and need to bypass the neutral saftey switch tomorrow. That should get me some better ET along with some other small stuff I'm doing. Good Luck with the spray! Do keep us informed Last edited by ultraflo; 07-13-2002 at 03:34 AM.. |

well guys see my new thread MOTOR IS BROKE.
The Speedbrain is great and I have had excellent results with it, although ACC is no longer and the Speedbrain hasn't been made in a few years. For your Supercharged motor, look at the PMS or the EXTREME EFI AFM offers which is comparable to the EPEC which should have a new version out soon, contact Jimmy Larocca.
