How does the Redline Racing ATF shift in cold weather?
I was told if you want redline in the t-5, go with D4 ATF? So which Redline is it for a daily driver, D4 ATF or Racing ATF? |

D4 ATF - synthetic Dexron III and Mercon fluid meeting the requirements of most transmission manufacturers, while satisfying GL-4 gear oil requirements. Superior stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides tremendously improved shifting in cold weather. The best low-temperature shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles which require ATFs.
RACING ATF - synthetic ATF for automatic and manual transmissions which need the positive shift of a TYPE-F ATF. This ATF contains no slipperiness additives, producing faster shifts and quicker lock-up. A higher viscosity at high temperatures provides greater efficiency and provides better wear protection than other ATFs. well I've never had a problem at -40 it starts and shifts no problems ever. and well its not really a daily driver (I wish I could)

I have a jasper tranny in my stang. I have to run 15w-40 or I void my warranty. But I wouldn't put it in a stocker.
