Default B&M Converters?

I was looking at getting a B&M holeshot 2400 for the project 460 swap and i just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with these converters. Right now im not looking for anything too extreme. But i figure this one should be good. Just wanted to know if they are worth the money or not?

i dont remember how much they are, but off the shelf b&m converters are crap. no offense to anyone with em, but they are. its worth it to get a custom converter for a few hundred more. if your looking for somthing to get you by, go right ahead. but it wont last too long and wont handle a whole lotta power. my .02

It's been several years, but I used to hear bad stuff about them. Lots of problems with repeated breakage. You will rarely see anyone in the serious racing crowd pushing big horsepower in front of a B&M converter.

I'd second getting a nice converter. Price if nice, but strength is better. I'd bet B&M's run fine on near stock cars, but with a big 460 sitting up front, I'd not risk it.

Well i ended up getting a TCS super street converter for the car. Since its going to be only light mods for the next while and the motor isnt the newest thing i figure it should work nice with the stall around 1800-2000.

well, I also hope not to upset anyone who has had luck with the B&M, but the off the shelf one I ran was not worth the money I paid for it, or the plastic sack it is sitting in right now. I would give it to somebody to get it out of my shop honestly. I could not see a difference in it from the stock converter I had.
hope you have good luck with the TCS, if not....run the stock converter til you can put the money into a good one. After swapping my converter 3 times, I finally went with a pricey one...but the performance was worth it and they told me I could not break it...we will see.
