Default First track times

Just made my first passes in the car. At 12* timing I ran 14.70 @ 95 with a 2.24 60'. All I've done is in the sig. I was definitely pleased and figure 14.5's might be in it? Just thought I'd share my joy I had a great time!

You got a 14.4 or 5 in it for sure. Do the exhaust next and you should drop a few more tenths.

Congrats and be carefull the drag strip is addictive.

Thumbs up good runs

Yep, I agree with Dark - do the exhaust from engine to tails and you'll see her run stronger. You may even try upping the timing to 15 deg BTDC and use 92 octane.

With repeat trips to the track, you'll get the 60 footers down around 2.1 and 2.0X which will help drop the overall ET significantly.

Rock On, Dude

Default nice

That's not bad, especially for a covertible. Once you get that 60ft. time down a little you'll definitely be down around 14.4-14.5.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was lookin at exhaust next but wondering; will shorties and x-pipe still be worth a little more even if I decide to leave the rest of the engine stock?

Yes, of course upgrading your exhaust system will make a difference. Have you ever looked at those crappy, thin, squeezed, exhaust manifolds? Your car will benefit big time from headers and an x-pipe. You losing the cats, or no?

Haven't decided if I'm keepin the cats or not. I'm not sure if I want my vert to be that loud, but then again I don't want to spend the money either. Also, I might look at 1 1/2 in. headers if I plan on keeping stock heads and intake. Thanks for responding, simistang.
