Instrument cluster Styles.......????
i just obtained a new cluster for my car. i believe it came out of a 92 or 93. this should fit in my 88 right??

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I could be wrong, but I think after 90 they had a cutout for the steering column because of the airbag. Or something like that. Anyway, as far as I know they are different for that reason, could be mistaken though.

by the looks of it, the cluster should work. but im having trouble getting the speedo cable off. anybody have any idea how. it looks like it clips together kinda like a wiring harness, but im not sure.........anyone???

I'm not sure if it's the correct way, but I just used a big screwdriver and pryed mine off. It worked fine.

well, everything appears to have gone ok.......
except.................. when i pull the directional lever twords me, as if i was flashing my high beams.... everything behaves as if i had the ignition on. even if the key isnt in. the chime comes on, the guages move max out, and the fuel pump comes on. strange. the guages stay messed up until i release the e-brake. when i release it, they go to normal, and the tach starts reading........ ???????? ------------------ AIM= OneQuickStang |
