Default underdrive pulleys and oil pan

Ok Pony lovers............Brain picking time.

I am about to add underdrive pulleys to my Stang.Knowing about low voltage problems,I have been told to use a regular overdrive pulley on the alternator and this should solve and charging problems I may encounter.Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Second........I am preparing to add a new deep sump oil pan to the car as well.........I am not sure which size or model I should use.........NOw get those Ford Racing minds working and gimme some input.

Thanks,

Crimson

I have under drive pullies, h20 pump alt and crank, and I have no charging issues. At idle, I get about 12 volts. When driving, it sits at around 15.5 to 16 volts. When I had my system, 1-15" sub, 2-6x9's, 2-5x7's, 2-3 1/2's and 3 amps, my voltage dipped a little when the bass hit, but went right back up. I also run the stock alt. However, I do encounter some minor cooling issues when sitting at idle for extended periods of time. But when I take off, the temp goes back down. I have nevre had it overheat on me, it just gets pretty hot. As far as the oil pan, I have no idea what to tell you.

Default pulleys

bigred.....did you use all 3 underdrive pulleys or did you use a standard overdrive pulley on the alt?

I second what bigred said. I use all three pulleys from March and do not have problems with charging. It does drop a little at idle, but not enough to have ever caused me problems.

It just seemed like Crimson basically had a double post. I don't know how he missed your response the first time. Of course, looking at it now I guess it is not that weird....I don't know what I was thinking last night when I posted.
