Default Truck lower intake

I know I've asked before, but I cant find the thread, so I'll ask again. Will a truck lower intake off of a 302 work on a stang? If so, what are some advantages or disadvantages of using it? Like low end torque, hp, basically any info.

Thanks,
Caymon

yes but you need to get a box upper to fit it or make your own from the top of the truck intake.( my kids are helping me do this for a 351 in my Avatar)

the ports are like 80% bigger and will flow alot better . basically its what holley uses in their intake and the old vortec Saleen intake was the same.

Why do I need a box upper or a chopped truck upper? Will the extra flow kill my torque or will it not fit? How well would it work if I bolted my stock stang upper to the truck lower? And would it fit? Thanks for the reply.

Caymon,

The trucks intake is too tall and it has twin throttle body. The lower will not bolt up to any intake except the trucks upper or maybe an upper off a Holley System Max or an old Saleen. Your have oval ports, the truck is rectangular.

You would have to hack the upper truck intake and fab a box or something else in order to use the truck lower.

Well then, maybe this intake is off of something else. The throttle body is limilar to the stock stang tb, only it appears to be smaller. The intake looks just like a stang intake, only the lower looks a little taller (judging from shi**y memory). Any insight as to what this intake came off of?

I'll get the intake tonight and post the casting numbers off of it and see if someone can identify it.

I tried searching on google for the numbers on the intake and came up with nothing. So if someone can help me, it would be appreciated. The numbers are:
On the lower intake, front of the engine side, it says
RF-R6SE-9K461-D3AE
On the opposite end it says
CAE and under the E there is the number 4

The upper has RFE6SE-9425-C4H, I dont know whats up with the no dash on the upper.

Where the throttle cable snaps to the bottom of the throttle body, it says - E7AE-AB.

Any help would be appreciated.

Caymon

Will the non HO manifold bolt up to a HO motor? If so, are there any differences in flow characteristics?
