Default Manual steering

Does anyone out there own the flaming river setup for their fox body car? Anything else out there? My power steering is going out on me. How streetable are they? They come in two different rates, right? Which is most suitable for street, high or low. I want my girlfriend to be able to drive me home after happy hour. It's bad enough to listen to her whine about the clutch and tranny as she grinds through the gears.

I have one in mine and dont have any complaints out of it. I believe mine is the 15-1 ratio...

I have the standard 18:1 ratio in mine (easier of the 2 to turn). With 225's on the front and the added weight of the 351C and C6 I can turn the wheel lock to lock one handed at a dead stop. They feel so much nicer than the power rack.

Can't say, I still have to get a driveshaft shortend. They souldn't be squirrly at all. It is hard to tell the diff between power and manual steering at highway speeds, so don't worry about that. Most of the diff is at low speeds, where the manual is harder to turn.

Think of the ratios like rearend gears. higher ratio is quicker but takes more power to turn, lower is slower but takes less power to turn.

i have the 15:1 quick ratio and i love it. I like the feel so much better than the power steering. its not that bad turning sitting still either. Once you get moving you cant even tell a difference. I like it because its alot tighter and you can feel the road/turns better than the power steering. Picked up a tenth and a half in the 1/4 too. I definately wouldnt go back to my power rack after being hesitant at first.
