Angry What's Happening When It's Cold?

Let me start by saying, this problem isn't a serious drivability problem! But, I'd like to correct it anyway.
The car is an 89 LX, Basically stock with the exception of a 5.0L, GT-40 long block, with a B-303 cam (no cats).

When I first start the car (after sitting overnight), throttle response is dull from idle up to about midpoint, but only if I accelerate hard. If I granny shift, it's not an issue!

It seems like once the throttle gets past the midpoint, the power kicks in like a shot of nitrous. Slugish and then "BAM", it's all there! Not a smooth transition.

It only takes a few minutes (or a few miles of driving) and everything is okay, after its warm, the throttle response is perfect.....Until the next morning! Then the problem returns 'till it's fully warmed. (sometimes it corrects even sooner)

Like I said, it's not a big deal but it's not right and I don't know where to start looking. I've tried pulling codes but it passes every time. Idle is great and the car runs like a "Raped Ape"
Thanks in advance,
Phil

I had a similar problem with mine intermittantly and solved it by pulling the throttle body and EGR valve and liberaly cleaning the heck out of them with throttle body cleaner spray and a small pipe brush, cleared right up.
