R2000 cleaning system for engine???
Happy New Year everyone!
Has anybody come across the R2000 pressurized cleaning system for engine oil passages and galleys. It operates at 42 psi of cleaning solvent thru oil system and it supposedly removes sludge and build up. Amoco offered it to me and I was wondering if its safe or not. Any feedback. thanks! fongo ------------------ 1993 GT, K&N filter, Accel dist.,Splitfire plugs, BBK: 1 5/8 unequal length shorties, hi flow H-pipe w/ cats; Flowmasters 2 chamber American Thunder catback system, Motorsports 3-core radiator, 180º thermostat...the rest is bone stock! |

I wouldn't use it unless you have very high mileage...(in which case it wouldn't hurt.) Modern oils and fuels already have detergents formulated to work with them.
