Air Silencer
Does the air silencer do anything? i have it off, but Im afraid it might suck some water into my motor.

I was worried about that too when I took mine of, but there are SOO many people that have done it, and I've never heard of any problems. You culd geta saw and cut off the smallest part of the snorkel.

I would just be prepared to clean your K&N filter or change your paper air filter slightly more often. Other than that, I've had no problems.

If you are worried about removing the silencer, what about the cold air ram tubes that bolt in place of the silencer and draw air from below the bumper???? I though about that while wading through puddles on the way to work today. I want to fabricate my own cold air kit but avoid sucking water in. A little cheapness combined with ingenuity

Personally, I think those leaf catchers are pointless. They look retarded on GT's na deven stupider on LX's...is it really worth looking that stupid and spending the dough on one of those for whatever measly HP it gives you???
