Default Long term block/crank storage

I got my 351w block & crank back from the machine shop today but it's going to be some time before I have everything I need to put it together. Are there any good tips for storing them?
Right now they are wrapped in plastic and I was told to coat the bores and journals with some oil.

I use ARP Moly Lube on all rust bearing surfaces to store mine, easy to remove if you want to but wont just run off, then get a Moroso Engine storage bag and let it sit on the engine stand,my stroker has been there for over 4 months now with no rust at all(Block Is painted),waiting for my second rolling chassis to be completed.oil will actually evaporate in the long term,I recommend a good Moly coating.

All the big mail order people sell "Motor Bags" to keep stuff off them.

I usually spray things with white lithium grease to keep rust off, and wrap them up with some kind of cover like a bag. Cloth holds moisture.

Been doing this for years with no problems.

Store the crank standing on end, not lying on its side. It'll help keep it true.

I used fogging oil on mine, been that way 2+ years and no rust. I give a little extra shot about every 6 months or so. store the block on its rear (trans mounting) surface too.

We always used it winterizing boats. Basicly It's an aresol can of oil that you spray down the carb untill the engine dies or you pull the plugs and spray into each cylinder and turn the engine by hand. It prevents rust during winter storage of engines.
